Prathamastami Rajrajeswar Besha
On the 11th of Kartika this Besha is being organized by the servitors and sevakas. After morning Khechudi dhupa Mahaprabhu Baladev, Jogamaya Subhadra and Lord of three worlds Jagannath tooks on varities of ornaments and new clothes . This Besah is known as Rajrajeswar Besha. It is being conducted every year in the temple on the day of Prathamastami.
It is one of the day to day Beshas of the Deities. From the early in the morning, the deities put onPatta Bastras, Balabhadra with Blue colour Pata Bastra, Shree Jagannath with Yellow colour and Devi Suvadra with Red colour. After morning Khechudi Dhupa the deities adorn with Ratna Singhasana putting on the fragrant flowers, Karnakundala, Navi Padak, Alaka on the forehead. These Nitya Besha is being conducted by the Sevakas with much care. After morning Khechudi Dhupa the deities put on red clothes known as Kusumi. This Besha is the rarest of the rare Besha being observed by the Devotees everyday. During Badasinghar Besha after Ratra Dhupa the Deity was put on white clothes and adorn with many kinds of fragrant flower, adharmala, Basani, Karna Kundal, Padak in the Navi desh, Alaka on the forehead with a small coloured garland composing fragrant flowers. This Nitya Besha is being conducted by the paliapandas regularly with much care and devotion and dedication.
